- Lacing and Replacing Wheel Spokes Guide
Trying to find a lacing and relacing wheel spokes guide to help all you do it yourselfers complete the job turned out to be a tough search. We here at RaceFan365 are no experts at relacing and replacing wheel spokes, rather it be spokes on a bike, spokes on a car tire or a motorcycle tire.
Our basic understanding of needing to remove the wheel and then the tire from the wheel so that the spokes can be inserted probably doesn’t help you very much, so we tried to find some sort of guide or book that was highly recommended for learning how to lace spokes on a wheel. Unfortunately we had no real success finding a source so our suggestion would be that you seek input from others through the forums.
Try your forums designated specifically for bike wheels, classic car wheels or motorcycle wheels. You will have plenty success connecting with other enthusiasts like yourself who have encountered this obstacle in the past and are more than likely willing to share this information with you for free. Leave us a comment and let us know what you find.

- 4×4 Off Road And Road Handling Truck Tires
Once just a weekend activity now off roading has grown into more of a competitive event that has enthusiast looking for the best deal on 4×4 truck tires cheap. All of the major tire manufacturers like Michelin, BF Goodrich, Good Year and Continental carry a brand of 4×4 tire from Street tires to Off Roading tires. Your best chance for getting the lowest price on your four by four tires will probably come from one of the large warehousing discount retailers.
Another thing to take into consideration is the price savings between a 4×4 Bias Truck Tire and a 4×4 Radial Truck Tire. The bias tire tends to be better designed for off roading and suffers in performance and life span when you go to pavement. The radial tire gives you more of the best of both worlds with better than average performance on rough terrains and a smooth ride on paved roads. Now the difference in price between the two may be a small amount, but every dollar counts so keep this in mind.

- MotoGP Motorcycles Are Purpose Built For Performance & Horsepower
If you are a fan of motorcycle racing than you probably have ask yourself this question, what is the number of moto gp bike horsepower on these superbikes? Well I had the thought myself one day, a few weeks ago to be exact, when I was watching the Polini Grand Prix of Japan on TV. What type of horse power I wonder do these bikes have, was my thought. Well after a little researching this is what I found out.
In MotoGP they run all brands of bike manufacturers from Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki, Ducati, Kawasaki and Aprilia to KTM. These motorcycles are next stage prototypes representing the most cutting edge technology that these manufacturers have to offer. In the motogp teams run bikes with four stroke engines and a maximum of 800cc engine displacement. What this means is on average these grand prix motorcycles will produce anywhere from 200hp to 240hp, allowing them to reach speeds in excess of 190mph, regardless of the manufacturers brand.
So there you go, clearly with this much power at the twist of a throttle it takes a skilled and precisioned rider to manuever the twisting and turning of a typical Grand Prix course. Surely, something I’m not capable of but it’s more than enough fun for me to watch others do it.

- Change a Tire On a Car Step By Step
Here is a diagram of changing a tire that you can use as a visual guide line for changing your own tire if you hadn’t never done it before. The first thing you need to do is locate your cars spare tire, tire iron and jack. In most cars they will be stored somewhere within your trunk area and for trucks and suvs try looking in the tailgate area or underneath the rear end of the vehicle itself.
The next thing you want to do is put your car in park and set the emergency brake so that you can remove the tire. Take the tire iron ( L shaped bar ) and use it to loosen each wheel lug. Don’t be surprised if it takes some muscle to untighten the lug nuts. Also, the flat edge side of the tire iron can be use to pop the hub cap off if you have one on your wheel. Once you have done this, take your jack and position it under your car ( read your owners manual for suggestions on the best place to position the jack ) and now you can begin raising the jack and the car.
Lift the car until the flat tire is off the ground at which point you can remove the wheel lugs completely and take the tire off. Put the spare tire on and replace the lug nuts by screwing them on using your hands to get them tight. When all the lugs are on hand tight go ahead and lower the jack and car back down. Remove the jack from beneath the car and now take your tire iron and tighten all the lug nuts completely.
That’s all to it, put your flat tire, jack and tire iron back in the trunk and you’re ready to go. One piece of advice to remember with a typical spare tire, they are usually smaller than the regular tire so you shouldn’t drive as fast as you would on the normal tire. In most cases the top speed for your spare tire will be written on the sidewall, so don’t forget to check it before driving off.
