Located in Malaysia and sponsored by the country’s largest national oil company Petronas, is the home of the sepang international circuit. This race course is one the most technical circuits in the F1 series and was built as part of a bigger plan by the Prime Minister of Malaysia to elevate his country into an industrialised nation that will be a destination point for the rest of the world.
The Sepang International Circuit (SIC) has been the site for many major race events: FIA Formula One, Malaysian Grand Prix, FIM Moto GP, Moto X, A1 Grand Prix, Super GT and Asian Touring Car. The circuit is 3.44 miles in length and is wider than the average track, as well as, boasting several long high speed straights.
