o’reilly raceway park
The Indianapolis Raceway Park now known as o’reilly raceway park at Indianapolis after the naming rights were purchased by O’Reilly Auto Parts in 2006. The facility is a multipurpose racing complex located in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Unannounced to many the overwhelming amount of motorsports events in Indianapolis are run at the oreilly raceway park rather than IMS, which is seven miles away. Orielly Raceway Park hosts a handful of different sanctioned events from Nascar Craftsman Truck Series, Nascar Nationwide Series, Midget Car Racing, Drag Racing too Road Racing.
The facility incorporates a 2.5 mile, 15-turn road course and a 4,400 foot long drag strip. With a capacity of 30,000 fans, it’s small compared to other tracks but takes a back seat to no other track when it comes to generating excitement.
