Originally the site of Bryar Motorsports Park it became new hampshire motor speedway (NHMS) on Jan. 11, 2008 when Speedway Motorsports, Inc., agreed to purchase New Hampshire International Speedway from the original owner and founders for $340 million in cash.

The new hampshire motorspeedway started running races in 1990 and hosts two Nascar Sprint Cup Series events every year. The facility is about a one hour drive north of Boston in Loudon, N.H.  This works out great for the track with around 18 million residents living within 200 miles of the race track. This multi-use complex resides on about 1,100 acres making it the largest sports facility in the state with the ability to hold 105,491 spectators in and around the 1.058 mile oval or 1.6 mile road course.

The single tally for either one of the Nascar races, held at NHMS consistently exceed that of a NFL Super Bowl game with sell outs to the races being a sort of status quot. The complex also partners with racing schools like Richard Petty Driving Experience and Penguin School that run classes several times each year.
