moto gp bike horsepower

- MotoGP Motorcycles Are Purpose Built For Performance & Horsepower
If you are a fan of motorcycle racing than you probably have ask yourself this question, what is the number of moto gp bike horsepower on these superbikes? Well I had the thought myself one day, a few weeks ago to be exact, when I was watching the Polini Grand Prix of Japan on TV. What type of horse power I wonder do these bikes have, was my thought. Well after a little researching this is what I found out.
In MotoGP they run all brands of bike manufacturers from Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki, Ducati, Kawasaki and Aprilia to KTM. These motorcycles are next stage prototypes representing the most cutting edge technology that these manufacturers have to offer. In the motogp teams run bikes with four stroke engines and a maximum of 800cc engine displacement. What this means is on average these grand prix motorcycles will produce anywhere from 200hp to 240hp, allowing them to reach speeds in excess of 190mph, regardless of the manufacturers brand.
So there you go, clearly with this much power at the twist of a throttle it takes a skilled and precisioned rider to manuever the twisting and turning of a typical Grand Prix course. Surely, something I’m not capable of but it’s more than enough fun for me to watch others do it.
