Known first as memphis international motorsports park but today it goes by memphis motorsports park which was the new name it was given when the facility was purchased by the Grand Prix Assoc. of Long Beach in 1996. Starting in 97 new renovations began starting with the addition of a 3/4 mile paved tri-oval track and the construction of a brand new dirt track.
This multi track complex also houses a 1/4 mile NHRA championship drag strip and a 1.77 mile road course that hosts more than 200 events each year. And this doesn’t include the Nascar races that Memphis Motorsports Park also runs throughout the season too a fan capacity of 28,000.
