mansfield motorsports park

Originally called Mansfield Raceway when it opened in 1959, mansfield motorsports park almost didn’t make it. Fortunately in the spring of 1999 this race complex was bought by new ownership who immediately had the dirt track repaved with a blacktop surface and reopened the track that we now refer to as Mansfield Motorsports Park.
Since 2002 more than $17 million in construction improvements have been made, everything from new safety fencing, concrete walls, deluxe grandstands that include luxury suites, a ticket office, restrooms and concession stands. In 2004 these improvements led to the Craftsman Truck Series adding the motorpark to its race schedule.
Most recently the drag strip was added and the IHRA World Nationals has become the focal point of the schedule with a 1/4 mile drag strip.
The complex can hold 25,000 race fans surrounding a .44 mile oval race track with moderate banking. Just right for the USAR Hooters Pro Cup Series and the Nascar Camping World East Series, which are a few of the other events that are held here yearly.
