He may not of won the Ford 400 in Homestead, Fl but what Nascar’s Jimmie Johnson did do is no small feet. Becoming only the second driver in Nascar history, outside of Cale Yarborough, to win 3 consecutive Nascar Championship Titles.
With 30 years separating the two it highlights the mastery that Team Lowe’s has exhibited in this pursuit. This seasons most wins went to Carl Edwards with 9 wins but it wasn’t enough to slow down the consistency that is Hendrick Motorsports, Jimmie Johnson, Chad Knaus and all of the Lowe’s Team. And let us not forget that Jimmie’s car is actually owned by Jeff Gordon who just happens to be a Nascar Champion also and a member of the Hendrick Team as well.
