For many race fans personally owning a race car is a dream, but others learning how to build a mini sprint car themselves is a passion. And why wouldn’t it be seeing as though many of our favorite drivers of today came through the ranks of Sprint cars, because it is treated as a precursor to going on to Nascar and Indy Car Racing.
Characteristics of a Sprint car are powerful engines and light body weight, similar to F1 cars. Your frame will need to be short and sturdy with a fair amount of flexibility, so that it can withstand all the broadsliding around corners it will endure during a race.
To get started building your own mini sprint car you will need a car, chassis, aluminum tube, butane solder, roll bars, cage, interior sheet metal, brakes, special pistons and CAD software if you want but not necessary.
