homestead-miami speedway

Built in 1995 and formerly called Metro-Dade Homestead Motorsports Complex, homestead-miami speedway is considered one of the most beautiful race facilities. Homestead-Miami race complex encompasses some where around 600 acres with a 1.5 mile oval track and a 2.2 mile road course which serves as a focal point for the 65,000 grandstand fan capacity. The complex also includes 1300 RV parking spaces and has 750 TV monitors positioned in and around the facility, as well a new 18,000 sq. foot multi level media area is being constructed and should be ready in Sept. 2008.
One other unique thing about Homestead-Miami Speedway is that it serves as the final race location for the Nascar Sprint Cup Series (Ford 400), Nascar Nationwide Series (Ford 300), Nascar Craftsman Truck Series (Ford 200), IRL IndyCar Series (XM Satellite Radio Indy 300) and the IRL Firestone Indy Lights (Miami 100). In addition to these races Homestead Miami also hosts the Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series ( GAINSCO Grand Prix of Miami).
