A good set of high performance headers or exhaust headers if you want to be technically correct will add increased power from your engines output. The reason aftermarket headers are a good idea is because most stock exhaust systems typically lack the ability to transfer enough exhaust gas at high rates of speed. This flow of exhaust can be restricted by your manifold, muffler, catalytic converter and any other pipes that are responsible for routing the residue from the combustion process away from the engine.
The goal of any good set of car or truck headers is to provide a flawless fit so that you can generate higher levels of rpm power output. With all this power it doesn’t mean you can’t look good either. Exhaust headers can come in a chrome or black ceramic coating, you can get long tubes or add on the shorty pipe but regardless of the look, the goal is always to generate more pony power to the wheels.
