Located in Montreal, Quebec, Canada circuit gilles villeneuve road course is built upon a man made island on the St. Lawrence River.  The race course is the name sake to canadian race driver Gilles Villeneuve who was the father to the 1997 Formula One world champ Jacques Villeneuve.

The Circuit Gilles Villeneuve has been the site for major race events: FIA F1, Canadian Grand Prix, Nascar Nationwide Series, Napa Auto Parts 200, Nascar Canadian Tire Series, Napa Autopro 100 and Grand Am Rolex Sports Car Series. The course is technically a street circuit and is 2.71 miles in length and encompasses a mind boggling 15 turns.
