Currently racing in the Dodge No. 43 car for Petty Enterprises, the bobby labonte bio began years before his coming into Nascar. He started racing late model stock cars at Caraway Speedway in North Carolina and during that year of 1987 he won the track championship taking home 12 victories.
In 1990 he completed a full season in the Nationwide Series and finished fourth in points and a year later he claimed the Series Championship. During this time he also made his introduction into the Sprint Cup Series and has remained a competitive driver throughout the years amongst the best in Nascar.
